ABOUT
The third annual Kazakhstan forum on Educational Technologies (EdTech) will be held from 1 to 3 July in the online format as part of Astana Finance Days.
This year's forum theme is "Transition to the Future" that would discover how technology and innovation enable educators and learners to succeed in the future. EdTech forum traditionally will unite forward thinking leaders and experts to challenge and inspire education communities in the context of digital acceleration and constant change. Agenda includes interactive sessions that would discuss leading edtech trends, issues of alternative education, digital content production, role of creative economies, breakthrough edtech solutions, competencies frameworks and jobs of the future.

The EdTech forum establishes solid networks between all stakeholders such as students, teachers, universities, government and technologies for better quality education in our region. Last year, educators from around the world came together to discuss the international collaboration in EdTech: Global to Local - Local to Global by offering solutions for modernisation issues and creating an innovative education ecosystem in the context of open digital boundaries and technological inequality. Microsoft Viva: employee development is as important as business development
Speaker:
Yulia Kraynova, Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe expert in behavioral analytics specializes in changing the corporate culture based on statistical data.

Description:
Many companies have already adopted a new format of work: flexible hours and remote work. But do you manage to keep your employees engaged, maintain a sense of team spirit, and stay interested in your company's goals?

During the session, we will talk about how Microsoft Viva allows businesses and employees to thrive through data analysis and personal recommendations. You will be able to implement cultural changes in your company and rethink the principles by which you make decisions. Corporate culture is not slogans on the wall, but what we do every day.
Is Mobileography a Trend or Real Monetization?
Mobilography provides an opportunity for non-verbal communication, bypassing language barriers. The smartphone is not just a phone, it is a serious device that can help you make money.

During master;calss you will learn more about:
  • Promotion in SMM
  • Video or photo - trends?
  • Monetization of Mobilography
  • What is Mobilography?
  • Practical instruments and skills
  • Lifehacks from mobileograph Rishat Momynov

Mobility is now defined by a high speed of response to trends. People do not read texts and do not look at the photo on Instagram. For instance, 3 posts in a week are enough to stay relevant. Format of stories is more popular now. People are trying to spend less time receiving useful and healthy information in high-quality content. We mean the quality of the photo and video by the high-quality content. Modern devices easily cope with such requirements.

The process of learning Mobilography is easy. There are a huge number of cool tricks with which you can shoot and edit cool videos. As a result, videos can become extremely popular and go viral.
Knowledge mining
Speaker:
Alibek Jakupov, Data Scientist at Expertime (France), Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in AI

Description:
The reality of the world today is that information is constantly generated--Forbes recently estimated that the world creates over 2.5 quintillion bytes of new data per day. Data is coming in "unstructured" formats like PDFs, images, videos, audio files, and Powerpoints decks. In fact, around 80% of data in businesses is estimated to be unstructured
As a result, it can cost time and money. Internally, decisions are less informed, take longer to make, work is done manually, Externally, user experience on apps can be difficult to navigate, and customers may not be able to find relevant content and products.
Information has the potential to become an asset or a burden, depending on how you use it. In this short session devoted to Knowledge Mining we are going to see how to apply our information meaningfully to our products and businesses?
The knowledge mining solution area focuses on this core challenge. Innovations across vision, speech, language, decision and search mean for the first time it's possible for our applications to interpret unstructured data in a human-like fashion, and to more deeply understand traditional data in the form of text.
Together, search and AI create a unique solution for finding value in your data– in the end helping to engage customers, transform products, empower employees and improve operations.
Presentation of Career Coach solution
Speaker:
Nurlan Zhanybek, Industry Executive, Education, Microsoft, CEE MC CIS region

Description:
What is a Career Coach?
Career Coach is a Microsoft Teams for Education app powered by LinkedIn that provides personalized guidance to navigate a student's career journey by empowering students to discover their career path, grow real-world skills, and build their network, all in one place.

Why Career Coach?
Unlike stand-alone labor market insights or skill-focused solutions, Career Coach is an integrated solution designed to help students discover their goals, interests, and skills using an AI-based skills identifier and LinkedIn integration that aligns a student's comprehensive profile with job market trends. With a personalized experience, students can get inspired by different career options, connect with alumni, peers, and faculty, and learn with courses from the higher education institution, LinkedIn Learning, and Microsoft's industry-recognized certifications. Higher education institutions will be able to gain insight into the skills and career goals students have, and job market trends to drive curriculum, programs, and services to support student success.

Who is a Career Coach for?
Higher education institutions need to drive employment outcomes that uniquely match the aspirations of each student. Career Coach is designed for higher education students who are at any stage of their education. It is especially useful when a student is pursuing a field of study with options for choosing a specific career.

Career Coach is designed as an integrated experience to complement and support the campus career advising you have. Career Coach provides a central hub for students to engage in the career-related activities you offer.
FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO THE BOARDROOM
The velocity of change makes it challenging for parents, adolescents, and professionals to make choices about study orientation and careers. In its 'The Future of Jobs 2020' report, the World Economic Forum argues that the outlook for the labour market is highly uncertain and that Covid-19 is accelerating the arrival of the future of work. This session will explore several key underlying questions that many people – from high school students to professionals – face when making choices for the future, including:

1) What are the major forces affecting the future of work?
2) What competencies are needed in the future to remain relevant and avoid obsolescence?
3) Which jobs will be most in demand?
4) What advice would you give adolescents and their parents about the educational choices they should make?
5) how can workers affected by technological disruption reskill themselves?
Missing middle in transition to the future of education
In 2020 the learning environment has experienced seismic change from traditional classroom led education to hybrid and digital learning. The trend isn't just in digitalization, but also in the mindset of students, educators, employers and companies that is getting stronger. In this session we will explore future trends that are changing the education landscape. Will they fill in the missing middle in the transition from today to tomorrow?
Transferable skills in digital world
The session will discuss current choices and challenges Generation Z faces in the digital era and how it is different from previous generations. Speakers will bring attention to the importance of early identification of professional predispositions and talents in the young age from big data. Discussion will focus on technological solutions in this sphere as well as the role of kids self-Identification for sustainable society development.
IPO: Transformative Learning Programme
IPO: Transformative Learning Programme is an educational programme developed by the University of the Future that is aimed at preparing companies and its personnel for IPO. Info-session will cover the process of IPO, training programme and core modules as well as discuss the importance of capacity building of company personnel for successful IPO.
The future you choose! Voice of youth
One of the concerns of parents is the desire to raise a happy child who will be successful in a rapidly changing world. What character traits to develop, what skills will be needed in life and what will help to adapt in society? How do you find a calling? What new directions in education are important? Children see the answers to these questions a little differently than adults, because they have different attitudes, resource capabilities and perception of the world as a whole. In this session, you will learn what are today's children, what they fantasize about and who they see themselves in the future?
Innovative schools: loading is in progress.
What do we need to build a school of the future?
This session will represent a foresight discussion with representatives of new innovative schools and teachers to discuss issues on alternative education, leadership and trends in school education, edutainment, coaching and mentoring, competencies of the future. We will try to find answers to the questions like: what do we need to build a school of the future? How is edtech transforming school education?
Role of education and society in propelling climate action
Environmental educators and researchers are currently focused on researching and promoting energy conservation behavior with an emphasis on children and youth. It is important to adopt a vision and strategy for climate change and energy education that more explicitly addresses the role of collective action, multiactor networks, and sociotechnical innovation in shaping energy transition processes. What can we do now to increase "climate literacy" among young people, encourage changes in their attitudes and behaviour, and help them adapt to climate change related trends?
